Step 1. Requirements
Please make sure that you meet all
of the below requirements.
1. First and foremost a very soft spot for Seniors, a real
compassion for our senior citizens. Also needed is a genuine
interest in their welfare, basically you must “like seniors” singly
and in groups.
2. A sense of humor and an interest in many different areas.
3. Someone who would like to earn a little extra money for something special.
Our work is full of rewards, being paid is the “icing on the cake”.
4.
Must be willing to meet bi-monthly with other nannies to share ideas that
work and those that don’t.
5. Must be willing to do training that will help us communicate
better with the senior. Dementia is very common in those we work with, communicating
is critical. A 3 hour seminar on communicating with those who have dementia
is strongly recommended. Previous training can also be accepted.
Step 2. Application

Nursing Home Nannies will conduct training and perform a background check
on all potential Nannies.
